September is always a busy month for the Lovettsville-Waterford Ruritans starting at the Bluemont Fair where we always provide traffic control. On Sunday Johnnie, Chuck and Tina were at Loudoun Therapeutic Ridings Heroes First Fair to present a check for $1000 in support of the equine-assisted veterans programs. We’re always happy to support our veterans and local organizations that serve them. July 4th Parade

It’s not summer in Lovettsville until the Fourth of July parade! The Ruritan Club had the best seat in the parade as we tossed candy to the young crowd and waved to old friends. We’re always looking for new members. If you want to know more about what the Lovettsville Waterford Ruritans do in our community, drop us a line at thelwruritans@gmail.com to join us for dinner at an upcoming meeting.

Club meeting with Special Guests

The Lovettsville-Waterford Ruritans held their monthly meeting on June 15 with special guests Travis and Ella, 2 of the winners of this year’s scholarships. Travis and Ella told us about their plans post high school and it was exciting to hear about all the things they’re going to do. We got updates on the upcoming 4th of July parade, Oktoberfest and our support of the New Jerusalem food bank. If you want to learn more about the Ruritans, contact us at thelwruritans@gmail.com to join us for dinner as a guest at the next monthly meeting.
